                               RESOLUTION NO. 19590
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE ORCHARD
                   KNOB AREA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN, ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1992 FROM
                   6:30 A.M. TO 9:30 A.M. FOR THE "HOME RUN '92
                   AND WHEELCHAIR RACE" SPONSORED BY HABITAT
                   FOR HUMANITY OF CHATTANOOGA, UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the eastbound curblane of 3rd Street between 

       Warner Park and Willow Street, the southbound curblane of Willow
       Street between 3rd Street and Ivy Street, 5th Street between
       Willow Street and Orchard Knob Avenue, Beech Street between 5th
       Street and Ivy Street, Ivy Street between Beech Street and Willow 

       Street, the northbound curblane of Orchard Knob Avenue between 
5th
       Street and 4th Street, 4th Street between Orchard Knob Avenue and 

       Hawthorne Street, Hawthorne Street between 4th Street and 5th
       Street, 5th Street between Hawthorne Street and Holtzclaw Avenue, 

       the southbound curblane of Holtzclaw Avenue between 5th Street 
and
       McCallie Avenue, and the westbound curblane of McCallie Avenue
       between Holtzclaw Avenue and the Warner Park entrance on 
Saturday,
       October 17, 1992 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for the presentation 

       of the "Home Run '92 and Wheelchair Race" under the sponsorship 
of
       Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga provided that the
       sponsor shall set out flasher barricades and warning signs in
       accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto and 
shall
       provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency and
       residential vehicles.
